Changing your mind
If you buy something from the studio at a distance — by email, WhatsApp or through this site — you have fourteen days from the day it arrives to tell us you have changed your mind, and a further fourteen days to send it back. You do not need a reason. This is your right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and we honour it as written.
Return it in the condition it came in: unmarked, flat, in its original wrapping where you can. You may handle a print as you would in a gallery — enough to look at it, not to hang it. If a piece comes back with more wear than that, we may reduce the refund to reflect it.
You pay for the return postage unless the piece was faulty or not what you ordered.
Made to order
Almost everything here is printed, packed or lettered for you after you ask for it. Where a piece is made to your specification or personalised — a commission with your chosen words, a print in a size we do not otherwise offer, anything with a name or date on it — the fourteen-day right to cancel does not apply. The law makes this exception for bespoke work, and it is the one place we rely on it.
Standard prints in the catalogue sizes are not bespoke. They can be returned in the usual way.
For a commission you may cancel at any point before the work begins and receive a full refund. Once ink is on paper we will talk it through honestly; a deposit covers materials and the time already given.
Ebooks and PDFs
When you buy a digital file, you will be asked to agree that delivery may begin straight away, and that in doing so you give up the right to cancel. Once the link has been sent, the file cannot be returned. If a file is corrupt, incomplete or not the one described, tell us and we will replace it or refund you.
Damaged or faulty
Prints are packed flat or in a rigid tube and originals are packed by hand, but the post is the post. If a piece arrives damaged, photograph the wrapping and the piece before you unpack any further and write to us within a few days. We will send a replacement or refund you in full, including postage, whichever you prefer.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 anything you buy must be as described and of satisfactory quality. If it is not, you have thirty days for a full refund, and after that the right to a repair or replacement. Nothing on this page reduces those rights.
How to return something
- Write to the studio's email address with your name, what you bought and roughly when — a photograph helps.
- We will reply with the return address and confirm what happens next. Please do not send anything back before you hear from us.
- Pack it as it came, keep proof of postage, and let us know when it is on its way.
Refunds
Refunds go back the way you paid, within fourteen days of the piece reaching us — usually sooner. If you cancelled before anything was posted, within fourteen days of your telling us.
If something has gone wrong and this page does not answer it, write anyway. We would rather sort it out than argue over it.
