The understanding between us

Who we are
Himma Art Studio is an independent studio based in the United Kingdom, making prints, original calligraphy, stickers, ebooks and journals. These terms cover anything you buy from us and your use of this site. Write to the studio's email address with anything they do not answer.
How buying works
Priced catalogue products can be bought through the website checkout. Originals, commissions and anything that needs a conversation remain available by enquiry. Before you pay, the checkout shows the items in the order, the price, and any delivery charge it can calculate for the destination. You can return to the basket to correct the order before paying.
A website order is accepted when payment is successfully confirmed. Every piece is described as carefully as we can, with photographs of the work itself or of the same edition. Paper is a natural material and screens differ; small variations in tone are part of the object, not a fault.
Prices and payment
Website prices are shown in pounds sterling. The checkout shows the order total and, for physical orders, the delivery charge for an available destination before you pay. Import duties or local taxes that are not collected at checkout may still be charged by the destination country.
Website checkout payments are processed securely by Stripe. The studio does not receive your full card number. Conversation-led work such as commissions may use a separate agreed payment route; any deposit or staged-payment terms are confirmed with you before work begins.
Delivery
Fine-art prints are made to order by our production partner. The production location, available destinations and delivery route can vary by destination. While the wider Prodigi fulfilment matrix is being confirmed, website checkout accepts UK physical delivery only; the destinations and delivery charge offered by checkout are the ones that apply to that order. Studio-made originals and commissions follow the timescale agreed with you. Where a cross-border shipment attracts import duty or local tax that was not collected at checkout, the recipient may be responsible for it.
Digital products are delivered worldwide by email and do not require a shipping address. Risk for physical goods passes to you when the order is delivered; if an order does not arrive, contact the studio and we will deal with the carrier or fulfilment provider.
The art itself
Every design, painting, photograph and piece of writing on this site is the work of the studio and stays its copyright. Buying a print or an original gives you the object; it does not give you the right to reproduce the image, print it again, sell copies or use it commercially. Buying an ebook or digital print gives you a personal licence: print it for your own home, keep copies for yourself, and do not share the file or sell prints from it. If you would like to use a piece in a mosque, school or publication, ask — we usually say yes.
Sacred text is treated with care on every piece. We ask that you treat the pieces the same way, and that printed matter carrying the names of Allah or His Messenger ﷺ is not discarded carelessly.
Membership
The public studio, exhibition and shop are open to everyone. The private Garden is entered by invitation. Garden membership is personal and free. Each member may pass on the number of invitations shown in their account; a code opens the gate once and then belongs to the person who used it. We ask members not to publish codes openly. The studio may withdraw Garden access for abuse, commercial scraping or redistribution of private work, and will say so plainly if it does.
If something goes wrong
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or takes away anything the law gives you. Beyond those rights, our responsibility is limited to the price you paid for the piece concerned. We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for delays caused by the post, customs or events outside our control. Our returns page explains what happens in practice.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in its courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the protections of your own country's consumer law. We may revise these terms; the date at the top tells you when we last did, and the version in force when you bought is the one that applies to that purchase.
